I’ve been a hockey fan since childhood, and watching the women’s gold medal game was every bit as intense as the men’s. When it’s best-on-best, the speed, skill, and heart on the ice are second to none.
The Canadian women battled all game and were so close to bringing it home. Full credit to Team USA for never backing down and continuing to apply pressure. Captain Hilary Knight stepped up in a huge moment to help shift the momentum, and then Megan Keller delivered the unforgettable overtime golden goal.
Moments like this are why the future of women’s hockey is so bright. The talent, competitiveness, and passion in this rivalry continue to elevate the game and inspire the next generation.
Congratulations to the U.S. women’s team on an incredible win — and major respect to Canada for an amazing tournament. Women’s hockey is only getting bigger and better.
